Rules:

I. This competition is open to all.

2. This is an individual event.

3. Performances may include spoken poetry, narrations, storytelling

and standup comedy.

4.There is a strict time limit of 6 minutes+ 1 additional minute.

exceeding which will lead to a penalty of 5 marks per minute.

5. The content should be entirely original and no form of plagiarism

is allowed.

Z. Audio-visual aids. if used, should be submitted to event

coordinator at least I day prior to the event.

8. All genres/ themes are acceptable but use of foul language or

derogatory remarks can lead to immediate disqualification.

9. The decision of the judges and the organizing committee shall be final.

10. Judging criteria :

For open mic :

a. Language and flow

b. idea and theme

c. Body language and facial expression

d. Vocal strength, emotion and articulation

e. Presentation (including props, etc)

f. Stage presence

g. Overall performance and audience appeal

For Stand up :

a. Sense of humor

b. Physical and vocal clarity

c. Creativity and originality

d. Techniques and style

e. Spontaneity and fluency

f. Stage presence
